About me

Hello! My name is Alyan, and I am a junior at Texas A&M University pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering. Within this field, I am interested in areas such as software development, hardware integration, and system architecture, but I am open to exploring other facets as well! Outside of the classroom, I am the Social Chair of the Ismaili Student Muslim Association at Texas A&M. In addition to my involvement with the association, I have gained valuable work experiences within different fields of engineering during the summer months, providing me with hands-on knowledge in system maintenance, network operations, agile development methodologies, and software design and implementation.

    May 2024 — Present

    • Developed Power BI visualizations for a new oral care production line, enhancing user stories and insights. Utilized by the entire Product Supply, R&D, and engineering teams for comprehensive data analysis.
    • Analyzed data from 800+ sensors, deploying a variety of machine learning algorithms for real-time analysis and numerical correlation between hypothesized systems.
    • Applied agile methodology and user story adherence to employ advanced feature engineering techniques, creating complex dependencies and improving predictive accuracy and operational efficiency.
    • Enhanced decision-making and operational efficiency across production lines, reducing downtime by projected 96 hours and saving approximately $70,000 annually.
    • Created a Dash/Docker application, enabling the oral care team to implement and analyze in-line data both presently and in the future.

  2. Procter and Gamble - Digital Quality Project Manager / SWE / Hardware Intern

    • Enhanced product/EO insights and quality by extracting data from PCBs and using API calls for advanced analysis, adopted across North American plants. Increased data insight by 25% across 50+ NA baby care production lines.
    • Led quality measures for the Tape Attachment system, directing a team in CAD development and creating hardware/software deliverables. Decreased system downtime by 3%.
    • Developed QII through a live digital quality system for production lines using Laplace/Gaussian functions for image analysis. Improved digital insight dependability. Created deliverables for post internship improvements for all projects.

  3. Galen Data - CRM API Software Developer

    October 2021 — December 2022

    • Developed an automated system for API integration between ZOHO and Crossbeam CRMs, addressing the inefficiencies of manual CSV uploads. Created an auto-sync code to handle daily large-scale contact extraction requests (40,000+ contacts with 40+ fields), resulting in a streamlined and workload-reducing CRM contact update process.

  4. Misbah Business Inc. - Technical Operations Specialist

    August 2020 — August 2022

    Responsible for the development of the full stack, which includes but is not limited to:
    • Tasked with updating our Human Resource Management system, I developed an internal RESTful web service, seamlessly integrated with DiWeb for cross-platform order management, resulting in a user-friendly interface compatible with multiple devices and bolstered efficiency through Git Hub for version control.
